Description

The Andromeda Galaxy (M31) at 2.5 million light years away, is our closest galaxy. One of the largest deep sky objects , in dark sky's it can be seen with the naked eye or easily seen in wide field binoculars.

This picture was taken at my own personal observatory in Lancaster, SC over several nights during the month of October, 2020. The telescope was an Astro Tech AT65-EDQ with a focal length of 420mm. The mount was a iOptron CEM60-EC (All subs were taken unguided.) Total integration time was 23.58 Hrs.

The image was processed in PixInSight and Photoshop.
